How do I empower myself and others?

I have 5 different ways to help empower yourself and others. I have either used these ways or have heard other women use them. The 5 ways are talking in the mirror, sticky notes, power stances, lifting others, and reading books or affirmations.

Talking in the mirror:

Taking in the mirror is something I started about 3 years ago and has helped me tremendously. Most people have heard that repeating things to yourself or thinking about things helps with manifesting them to happen. I repeated the words “you are enough, you are more than enough” which is why I named this blog “you are more than enough” I’ve also heard others say things like, you are strong, you are beautiful, you are worthy. I have also used these in the past as well. I think this is one of the best ways to empower yourself but also a way to empower other women.

Sticky Notes:

Sticky notes are another way for empowering yourself and others. I personally used this way when I was in high school, I was in a student organization called student council and one of our ideas was to put positive messages in the girl’s bathroom, on the mirror. I know many other high schools and middle schools that have done this as well. We put things like, hello beautiful, you are loved, we are proud of you.

Power Stance:

The power stance is something I learned about during my first semester at Maryville. A lot of people use this tactic before public speaking or speeches. Step 1, stand in front of the mirror with your hands in fists. Step 2, place your fists on your hip and hold your chest and head high. Step 3, hold your pose for at least 20 seconds but for as long as you’d like. A bonus step you could add is to say positive words or phrases.

Lifting Others:

This is one of my favorite things to do and the easiest. Complimenting others or giving others positive advice. Also, when you hear others talking down on themselves or struggling you can help them out in the simplest way. Telling them something small like, I’m proud of you or you look so pretty today. Sometimes people just need a little pick me up, or someone to talk to and that’s something I will always do for others.

Reading books or affirmations:

Lastly, reading books or quotes is a very popular way as well. There are many books that women could read but I have a couple that I have heard about. The first one is “Awaken Your Inner Goddess,” “Shine On,” and “Hello Gorgeous.” They are all on Amazon and range in price from $10 to $14, I will add the link below.
